Framing Rome

I did it! On January 30th, I went to the Rome Exploration Seminar (Cinemas Studies) info session and right when I got home I filled out my application and wrote my personal statement! That was seriously the best time to right it because I was so passionate and excited about it! It was a moment and I was nothing short of satisfied with what I had written. I didn't send my application right away though, I sent the morning of Sunday, Feb. 1 and... got an ACCEPTANCE email that evening!!!!!!! I WAS SOOOO HAPPPPY & EXCITEDD!! now it was just about convincing my mommy to let me go!.. i kinda didn't ask.. i just basically told her about it... but she knows that i've been talking about going to Italy for a long time and even mentioning to her relatives in the Philippiens when we went last summer.... so basically it was a yes! and no backing out because i turned in my contract!!





IT'S OFFICIAL! I'M GOING TO BE STUDYING ABROAD IN ROME, ITALY THIS SUMMER!

i still can't believe it! i cannot wait!!!!! it's gonna be so expensive though... plane tickets are waayy up there.. i have a lot of planning to do but it's going to be great! this is an experience of a lifetime and i'm soo grateful that i get to take advantage of it and that my parents are letting me!

hopefully my friend Carmela gets to go too!

okay well this is definitely a big step in my undergraduate experience... an amazing one! one that i thought i was never going to take. i thought it was gonna be all talk and that once i graduated college i was gonna be thinking "man i wish i studied abroad and pulled thru with it" instead now i can say "wow, i did it, i actually got to study abroad, i finally got the chance to!"

it's such a great feeling!! i get to use my italian skills that i've been learning and just experience a whole other culture, BY MYSELF!

ahh i can only count down the days oh and SAVE MONEY!
